Exploring Pelican Bay — Low Rise Condos

Continuing the Pelican Bay series, this blog post covers the low-rise condominium offerings within the prestigious community. Low-rise condos feature no more than three stories which differentiates them from mid- and high-rise condo buildings. This style of building is perfect for those that desire first-floor units without stairs or less strict association rules. Generally, low-rise condos are the most affordable housing option within Pelican Bay.

Within Pelican Bay, there are 49 condominium sub-communities and 20 of them consist of low-rise buildings. In addition to the Pelican Bay Master HomeOwners Association, each condo community has their own HomeOwners Association (HOA). This is important to consider when searching for a community to call home. Keep reading to learn more about each sought-after community.


Low-Rise Condominiums

 

Avalon – A rare gem in the low-rise category, Avalon is the only subdivision that offers a four bedroom layout. For those interested in smaller layouts, Avalon also offers two and three bedroom layouts. Larger units are more similar to townhouses with an attached one-car garage while other units have assigned parking spots. It is important to note that there are no elevators. Amenities include two community pools, a hot tub, and a clubhouse. 

Barrington – Gorgeous fuchsia bougainvillea steal the show in this non-gated, more affordable community. Barrington is located adjacent to Tamiami Trail and is conveniently located directly next to the North entrance to Pelican Bay. The 89 units feature 9-foot ceilings on a circle drive with detached garages, tile roofs, and preserve views.

This gated community offers 216 residences with either 10 ft. ceilings or lofty vaulted ceilings. Units range from 1,700 to 1,800 square feet. Residents at Breakwater enjoy a social clubhouse, gazebo, swimming pool, spa, sauna, car wash area, and fitness center.

Cannes – Just 16 luxurious units make up Cannes, a coach home community. All residents of Cannes enjoy lake or lush garden views. Garages are located under the living space of these units and some coach homes feature private elevators. A community pool is offered along with a walkway to the beach tram.

Chanteclair Maisonettes – Enchanting French architecture inspired Chanteclair Maisonettes. The 40 picturesque residences range from 1,250 to 1,421 square feet and offer views of a petite lake, mangrove preserve, or verdant landscaping.

Calais – Located off of the idyllic Pelican Bay Boulevard, Calais is reminiscent of old Europe with terracotta roofs and stucco detailing. The community features five low-rise buildings and three mid-rise buildings, meaning it is a ‘mixed community.’ The 131 residences have a golf course, lake, or preserve view. The community amenities include a heated pool and clubhouse.

The Crescent Pelican BayCrescent – Tucked away near the Northernmost entrance of Pelican Bay, the Crescent is a gated community with 12 low-rise condos overlooking a sparkling lake with a beautiful fountain. A small community known as Covington Row is tucked away within the Crescent and has eight low-rise condo buildings. Condos range from 1,825 to 3,365 square feet. Crescent amenities include a heated pool, spa, fitness facility, and community room. 

Glencove – Since Glencove is one of the older developments, it sits on the South end of Pelican Bay. There are 96 residences spread across 12 two-story buildings that surround a pool and lounging area. Two and three-bedroom floor plans range from 1,450 to 1,700 square feet. Glencove residents are just a short walk away from the Pelican Bay Berm and Artis-Naples, a museum and concert hall.

Hyde Park – Perhaps the most architecturally distinct community in Pelican Bay, Hyde Park resembles a stairwell with tiered residences. Although the majority of the residences are mid-rise condos, there is one low-rise building with 4 stacks, 2 floors, and 8 residences that overlook a lush, landscaped area. Residents have access to a tennis and pickle ball court, clubhouse, swimming pool, and spa.

L'AmbianceL’Ambiance – Conveniently located behind the Marketplace at Pelican Bay, L’Ambiance is a gated community with 188 low-rise residences. The units are either Garden Homes (ranging from 1,389 to 2,091 square feet) or Coach Homes (ranging from 2,025 to 2,579 square feet). The Pelican Bay Community Center is just a short stroll away and is home to the Fitness Center, Spa, and Tennis Pro Shop.

Laurel Oaks – Old colonial homes inspired Laurel Oaks, an expansive enclave with 18 two-story buildings. Residences either have two or three bedroom layouts with sparkling lake views or lush landscape views. Amenities within Laurel Oaks include a heated community pool, spa, and community room.

Lugano – Lugano was built in four phases and each phase offers slightly different views and condo layouts. The first phase was constructed in 1987 and the last phase finished in 1988. Pebble Creek
Pebble Creek – For those that are avid beachgoers, Pebble Creek will be the perfect place to call home. It is located directly across from the North Tram Station, where you can either walk or hop on a tram to get to the beach. Each of the 264 residences have an individual garage, either single or double stall. Pebble Creek residents are treated to a fitness center, two resort-style pools, a geothermal spa, and clubhouse. 

Renaissance – A nod to the Mediterranean, the Renaissance is overflowing with European touches and charm. Just eight residences surround a botanical courtyard, making this the smallest low-rise condo community. These units are hardly ever on the market so if one comes up for sale, make a move quickly!

St. Lucia Gardens – Tucked away in front of St Lucia, a high-rise condo building, St. Lucia Gardens is made up of 16 low-rise condos with beautiful lake views. Residents are just steps from the tennis courts and the Pelican Bay beach tram. Amenities include a heated pool, spa, fitness center, activities room, and guest suites.

Sanctuary – The meticulous landscaping and lake within the Sanctuary steals the hearts of many. The five buildings feature 72 residences which have either golf course, pool, or lake views. Units range from 1,300 to over 2,000 square feet. Amenities at The Sanctuary include a private pool, sauna, and central courtyard. 

Serendipity Pelican BaySerendipity – Naples offers incredible shopping and dining and Serendipity residents are just a short stroll away from Waterside Shops, a luxury, open-air shopping mall. This charming low-rise community is comprised of 43 residences. The eye-catching red barrel tile roofing and sparkling waterscape are signature features of this luxury community. Property owners enjoy two pools, two hot tubs, and a clubhouse.

St. Simone – Let St. Simone transport you to France with its charming French-inspired architecture. This community consists of 36 units offering approximately 1,300 to 1,500 square feet of living area. Amenities at St. Simone include a community pool, clubhouse and spa and tennis courts.

St. Thomas – Directly next to The Commons sits St. Thomas, a mixed low-rise and high-rise community. Floor plans are either two bedrooms plus den or three bedrooms plus den. Additional custom features include screened lanais, covered parking, and expansive views of the spring-fed lake and bird sanctuary. St. Thomas residents are treated to a recently renovated pool and hot tub.

Willow BrookWillow Brook – Willow Brook is a golfer’s paradise thanks to its incredible views of the Club Pelican Bay golf course. The 112 garden-style condos offer two or three bedroom layouts and range from 1,400 to 1,900 square feet. The clubhouse was recently renovated and the community pool and spa overlook a beautiful lake.
