Discovering Naples—A Delicious Dining Guide

While many people recognize Naples for its excellent weather and beautiful beaches, the city has so much to offer beyond its geography. This slice of paradise is also a culinary hotspot serving up everything from fresh seafood to upscale Italian to delicious burgers.

The majority of my dining recommendations I get from my amazing clients that are on the pulse so if you see something missing from this list, let me know! Whether you are a long-time local or a tourist passing through, this comprehensive dining guide will help you navigate the restaurant scene to get the most out of your time in Naples, Florida.

ItalianWhile Naples, Florida isn’t quite Naples, Italy, there are a few local restaurants that will transport you to the Amalfi Coast with their delectable Italian dishes.

Osteria Tulia–This Fifth Ave hot spot serves up rustic Italian cuisine in the ambiance of a convivial, lovingly restored Italian farmhouse. Bar Tulia is an off-shoot of Osteria Tulia and is great for happy hour and late-night cocktails.

Mister01 Pizza–As one of the best pizza chef’s in the world, Chef Renato Viola came to the United States under the O1 Visa category (which is reserved for those with “Extraordinary Artistic Ability” of internationally acclaimed fame). Trust me, this award was well-deserved!

Campiello–Located on Third Street, this upscale, award-winning restaurant is one of the top 100 restaurants on OpenTable. For those that enjoy people-watching, you’ll love their outdoor seating. If you’re visiting in season, request a table in the Club Room to be treated to live jazz music, beginning at 8PM.

Molto Trattoria–Lasagna lovers delight! Molto serves one of the best lasagnas complete with homemade noodles, fresh sauce, and bechamel sauce. While this restaurant is on Fifth Ave, it still is frequented by locals which is usually a good sign.

SeafoodSince Naples is situated on the Gulf of Mexico, it is no surprise that there are many phenomenal seafood restaurants. However, a few places stand out from the rest.

Swan River Seafood–Tucked away in a strip mall, you wouldn’t expect this to be the top seafood restaurant in Florida. However, Swan’s is a reliable spot for high-quality seafood. If you love to cook, stop by their gourmet fish market and grab one (or two) crab cakes while you’re there.

The Bay House–Located directly on the Cocohatchee River in North Naples, the Bay House has six different dining areas. If you can snag a seat at their Claw Bar, you’re in for a raw seafood treat. Request a table by the main dining room windows for water views.

Sails–Prepare to be transported to a European getaway while enjoying flavors of France, Italy and Greece. They’re most known for their signature Seafood Tower, which includes a selection of fresh oysters, shrimp, lobster, and crab.

The Turtle Club–As one of the few beachfront restaurants in the area, The Turtle Club offers the most incredible sunset views and delicious seafood dishes. Unfortunately, they’re still rebuilding after Hurricane Ian but have plans to reopen Fall of 2023.

AmericanDid someone say baby back ribs? Naples has a wide variety of American restaurants, serving up great classics from burgers to hot dogs to pulled pork sandwiches.

Brooks Burgers–This family-owned burger joint serves up some of the best burgers in town. Their classic cheeseburger is always a hit, but they also have more creative options like the Hawaiian burger with grilled pineapple.

Jimmy P’s Burgers & More–A casual, laid-back atmosphere greets you at this delicious, unsuspecting deli. They’re known for their gourmet Wagyu Beef Burgers which have been a mainstay for 15 years. The French dip and Waguy hot dog are also mouth watering.

Bricktop’s–Known for their deviled eggs and ribs, this upscale restaurant has everything from seafood to burgers. Located in Waterside Shops, Bricktop’s is the perfect place to sit down for a meal after a long day of luxury shopping.

Michelbob’s Championship Ribs & Steaks–Established in 1979, this beloved family-owned restaurant serves up amazing BBQ ribs, steaks, and other classic American dishes. They’ve been voted the #1 barbeque in Naples for 32 years so needless to say, you should definitely grab a bite here.

EthnicFrom Thai and Mexican to Persian and Korean, there are plenty of nationally-recognized restaurants serving up authentic cuisine from around the world.

Namba Naples–Located within the Pelican Bay Shopping Centre, Namba serves a unique fusion of Japanese, Thai, and Korean cuisine in a sleek, modern setting. This is where you’ll find the highest quality sushi that Naples has to offer. Give the yellowtail sashimi a try and thank me later!

Tacos and Tequila–Recognized for their outrageous tacos and excellent house margaritas, it is no surprise they have multiple locations throughout Southwest Florida. Stop by on a Tuesday or Sunday for 2-for-1 margaritas.

21 Spices by Chef Asif–If you ask a local for a dining recommendation, it’s likely they’ll recommend 21 Spices. Chef Asif was born and raised in India and is a globally-acclaimed chef. He’s been featured on countless TV shows and creates the best Indian dishes in the country.

The French Brasserie Rustique–Paying homage to quintessential Parisian brasseries, The French transports guests to a sophisticated yet bustling atmosphere. It doesn’t get better than baked onion soup, roasted duck, and eclairs. Try to snag a table on their charming patio for a romantic dinner.

The Bevy–$5 mimosas and bloody mary’s…need I say more? This trendy brunch spot is crowded on weekends so try to make a reservation in advance. The entire restaurant is open air (covered) so dress accordingly.

La Colmar Bakery and Bistro–If you love quiche, this is the spot for you. The chef’s family recipe has been passed down through the generations and wins global awards every year. Save room for dessert because their pastry and cakes are not to be missed.

Jane’s Cafe–Located right on Third Street, Jane’s Cafe is always lively. For those looking for classic breakfast items, this is the spot. They’re always serving up pancakes, omelets, hash, and more.
